Crimson FAQ: How Do I Search for Only In-Kind Contributions?

You can use the Money Search to find only In-Kind contribution records in Crimson or you can use the People Search to find any donors who have given at least one In-Kind contribution.

Money Search for In-Kind Contributions

  • To run a search for only In-Kind contributions, click on the Money menu and then click on Search. A Money Search window will appear.
  • Click on the white arrow on the right of the Gifts panel to open the gift search fields. From the Pay Method drop-down menu, select (IK) In-Kind and click . Crimson will generate a list of all gifts with the payment type of “IK” indicating in-kind.

People Search for In-Kind Donors

  • To run a search for donors who have given In-Kind contributions, click on the People menu and then click Search. A People Search window will appear.
  • Click on the white arrow on the right of the Gifts panel to open the gift search fields. In the $ Type (CI-CH-CC-CA-IK) search field, use Equal to in the blue drop-down menu and enter “IK”.
  • Click  and then Crimson will generate a list of donors who have given at least one in-kind contribution.
